Lake Bait Wet Close Up
Lake Bait Wet Close Up

I only posted this because I enjoyed the bubbles clinging to the peacock and pheasant feather fibers….that’s all. I had taken the two Lake Bait versions (red barbs on top/red barbs on sides) and held them under the faucet to see how the flies looked wet. Someday, I will manage my f-stops, shutter speed, lighting and stability just right to get the clarity these flies deserve. It is an evolutionary process. Typical, years ago with no auto cameras, I knew something about shutter speeds and f-stops. But with the introduction of auto modes, I lept to the easier ways and have become cloudy (not just with this topic) in recalling the basics. I need to experiment now and then with taking it off of AF to MF and playing with the higher f-stop and some side lighting. PlanetTrout told me to experiment outside in different angles of sunlight and that has been a fun experiment. My Pheasant Tail pictures were taken outside on the side panel of the bbq and the flybox positively glows. It is an awesome shot, that would have never happened but for the advice of Planet Trout.
