I found this tutorial on tying a low water Caddis (Sedge). Again, the photography is extra informative on how things should look. It is enjoyable when a tier takes the time to give a little extra on the photo. It, to me, makes a big difference on visualizing how the fly should really look.


I’m having trouble figuring out what the wing material is on this fly, the low water caddis. Is it cdc?

Matt, I don’t believe it is CDC. I cannot recall the feather, and of course his original site is gone. CDC would be a great alternative and I see he started tying more with CDC some 5-6 years ago.
