Why do I find this ‘tragedy’ fascinating several years after the event? Well, for some reason I enjoy the whole concept of regressive dipshits communing with nature, flipping off society to prove their point, rather than just shutting up and doing their thing…and then having their asses handed to them.  Call me warped…I like bears, wolves, cats, etc kept in perspective.  See, ‘a part’ of me likes the Hunter S. Thompson rebel. But, a part of me sees chaos if every HST or TT bumps about flipping off the rules…hence, the inner conflict…we should have some guardrails along the road in life, or at least some warning signs. Treadwell ignored his and it cost others dearly. Oh, and if you wonder if I have been around bears, well I have a personal perspective re bears from a few etched moments in Katlian Bay’s headwaters and even around Starrigavan Bay. I know my place and those I care for.
