Uni-Knot (Fly to tippett) When the curly end says the cinch not failed

For the better part of 45 years, I have either used a clinch not or improved clinch knot to attach the fly to the tippet. I was watching a WFN show for a saltwater destination and the demonstrated knot was a uni-knot. The guide remarked that he suffered less knot failures on big fish with the Uni-Knot. I have not tried this, enough to vouch for it, on smaller flies. I have seen it used for larger flies. Anyone’s input appreciated re small flies and the Uni-Knot.
