Yes, it is a bit premature to talk about the really cold mornings. Although a year ago, in mid-October, I recall painfully cold temps on the Deschutes R. for the better part of the day. Tonight I was watching some Minnesotans fishing in very cold weather. The host touted a mask/balaclava affair in which the inhaled cold hair was warmed by and ‘exchange’ process. I hate cold so I don’t cross country ski or snow mobile anymore. My only outside Winter pastime is winter steelhead fishing and even then I don’t care for it once temps dip below 30F/-2C degrees. So, the concept of a mask that hopefully doesn’t creat a mess from condensation seems worth a look. Now if I could do something about my hammered fingers.

I don’t have a lot of product info, but I saw 3 brands on line and they seem to center around $50.00 more or less. Might be worth a look for those that venture out in sub freezing temps.
