Excellent..yes…part of the fun of FF. Anticipation, Preparation, Process, Presentation…it is all fun in varying degrees. New gear makes it all the more exciting….but, my personal point…develop the basic skills of assessing the waters before you and presentation. The basics will always be first and foremost. After that, then gear adds enjoyment. If you, too soon, look to gear for successes, you will overlook the basic techniques. That said, that clear line will be very interesting to anyone who has comfort with the basics skills of the cast, the mend etc…
