I was perusing some Norwegian FF sites and came up André Brun’s site at The Trout Bum. He presents an emerger pattern suitable for larger Ephemera mayflies. The foam wingcase keeps the emerger in the film with the extended abdomen beneath the surface, the ostrich tail teasing below. The pattern picture is copyrighted so didn’t ‘borrow’, but good visual tutorial and a nice site. The pattern is perfect for any larger mayfly emergers.
