I’ve been experimenting for a while also with Ice dub. One thing I’ve been enjoying is a red marabou tail, rabbit fur abdomen, then Ice dub for a thorax. Then I’ll tease it out and the ice dub will veil over the natural colored abdomen giving it a nice effect. As with any flash I think a little goes a long way. I’ve been tying this fly on a bent TMC 9300 in a size 10 where I’ve bent down the eye and use a tungsten bead so that it rides like a jig. I’ve been calling it the “ortawork fly” and it’s proven itself very effective. It’s a really nice fly to have on point ticking the bottom with a smaller natural up above it.

Thanks Josh. Your fly description sounds very interesting and the hook set up is interesting too.
