Well of course you can’t all go there, but I wish many of you could. A perfect storefront, one drives by without noticing, keeping one’s eye on the cars ahead with the approaching traffic signal. I noticed it the other night. It was late. I saw the lights lowered and the ladies sitting at a table, probably resting after a long day. Family run restaurants are like that. A dream, a vision of success tested each day upon who will notice? Who will spread the word to others to try it. Well, if you are in the Eugene/Springfield/I-5 Corridor…consider a stop in downtown Springfield. I went back today and it was great!

Gracie, Natalie and Mari opened Chelitas several months ago at 321 Main St., Springfield, Oregon (just east of Pioneer Parkway Ave.). The food is fresh, inexpensive and served in a pleasant room by sweet mujers. This is a pleasant restaurant that I will be certain to visit when coming back down from the McKenzie River, the Middle Fork or the Town Run. Please support their dream via sit down dining or take out.

Great food at Chelitas! Lord have mercy…Natalie! Great place. Natalie will take your heart without trying. I love this place really. Clean, reasonable pricing, seriously perfect food. Did I mention Natalie?

Totally agree. This place is really good. The tacos are my favorite, but Mrs. E also enjoyed the carnitas tostada. Really friendly service also. I am adding a review to my site soon. 5 stars! http://eugenified.com/
One thing to note: This place looks very dark during the day. I saw it once in the day but could not see inside, so I figured it was just another dumpy taqueria place. But then I saw it from across the street during the evening, and with the inside all lit up, I realized it was a nicely decorated and clean restaurant.
