Over the years, it seems each Winter I hear of the Santa Ana winds blowing in California. I have simply known it to be an East to West wind confined to Southern California. But, this morning I noticed the winds are, in some places, in excess of 70 mph beyond California…like Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming. An unfortunate, associated factor are wild fires and the devastation they cause.
