So very true….I used to live in Northern Manitoba Canada! I remember eating Jack fish that had bones the size of small chicken wings!!! You can only imagine the discussion over dinner!!!!

Well, you have just made me recall picking fine fish bones out of my mouth eating some white fish my parents fixed. It was, by necessity the poorer cuts of meat, the fish with bones and lots of soups with leftovers. The mere mention of bones in fish brings back the frequent admonitions over dinner “don’t choke on the bones!” “don’t inhale one of the bones!”

And I always thought I would be the one to choke! I had plenty of bread nearby in case a bone would lodge in my throat!
