Unless you are near year around open trout waters, you are waiting for the soon to be coming season openers. Those that have fished this Winter, have searched with BWO’s, Midges (Chironomids) or Little Dark Stones. But, for those that stay to the ‘traditional’ trout openers of Spring to Fall, one of the first mayfly arrivals will be the March Brown mayfly that emerges in the early Spring and precedes a nice sequence of insects all the way until November. Here is a re-do from last February on the March Brown.
