My son was atop a roof dismantling a satellite dish and removed the tubing. Inside the moss covered tubing he saw a creation that was tinged green and other worldly. Some how the tubing, which had appeared closed off had been invaded by persistent creatures that constructed a nest.

Did I miss something? What built this? I have never heard of this or seen it and I am a little worried.

Some form of wasp that entered into the tubing via a mossy/slimy pathway and transferred the green to the nest it appears.

And the pupae appear to be alive! How big is this nest? If the pupae are alive, I don’t quite understand the moldy outside. There must be quite a bit of water condensation in there. Very interesting indeed!
