Thanks Gary, I tie a huge number of parachute patterns mostly because they work so well on fine tippet and don’t require changing that tippet for larger flies in the same way that Catskill ties do.
I would venture, at the risk of being egotistical, that there is a better way of manufacturing more durable parachute patterns than shown here. Perhaps your readers would be interested in two free resources.

Done this way the hackles VIRTUALLY NEVER come apart, the bodies of all my parachute patterns fall to pieces before the hackle gives in.
The method can be used for any parachute pattern, with any body material, post or tails all to equally good effect.
