As much as some of us derive enjoyment enhancing, massaging, tweaking our images with today’s apps, the fly tier can also expand basic pattern configurations into experiments in shapes and colors and motion. It is not disrespectful to the fly tying heritage to experiment and explore. Imagination beyond the visuals toward how the fly will function in and on the water is important. Catching the fly fisher’s eye and imagination is fun….catching the fish’s eye and imagination is even better! Go ahead take that fly tying class and/or seek out great Step-By-Step (S-B-S) tutorials on line.
