The trellis leans over sideways, almost to the ground. The trellis leans into an equally forgotten Clematis. The rose has not been pruned and shaped in years. I know the rose is at least 40 some years old. Peeking through the tangled branches and spotted leaves was one single bloom. I see a few other buds, but this one bloom said “help”. The chaos of life, aging, death leaves behind what was once special, spiritual, nurtured. Sometimes the trellis can be raised back up, the tangles removed.
Forgotten Trellis & Climbing Rose

This is absolutely gorgeous! Roses are my favorite flowers!

I have a soft spot for them as well. They were a favorite of my parent’s and aunt’s. I have attempted to save all the roses from my parent’s & aunt’s yards after their passing. All have survived so far. A few go back many decades.
