I have never been able to find in my heart any emotion related to lampreys other than disgust. It isn’t Christian or fair, but I simply cannot get past my revulsion. 😦
Ha! well I totally agree! the mouth alone is revolting. interesting to watch them glued to the bottom, in heavy current, body wiggly/waving with the strong current. these were some 145 miles upstream from the ocean.
Love this! These things are slightly terrifying. But I may only think that because I was introduced to lamprey-like killer monsters on X-files before I saw an actual lamprey.

Creepy I think!!! On the West coast of US and moves up into rivers…in this case the Columbia River.
