Tundra Swans take off from a pond on Sauvie Island (Oregon). Several posts back, I misidentified the large birds as Snow Geese. Snow Geese of black tipped wings and are generally smaller than the all white winged Tundra Swans…both inhabit the island.


I like the geese looking at the flyers, like they’re thinking ‘oh, are we going?’
