Been around since the late 60’s. I recall it was out of Washington Steelheader’s circle. Combines the usual colors and should be tied sparse. As with all these flies, variations abound. The glue stick egg thorax is pleasant but the original chenille thorax in the appropriate exciter color will work too. It it simple, present it right and see if the colors do the trick. Pretty straight forward tie. 

This pattern can be used for steelhead and salmon, but has been serviceable for searuns.
