Matt Stansberry (of Oregon Fly Fishing Blog fame) is behind a new blog that will promote ‘green’ local production and consumption in Oregon: http://gogreeneugeneoregon.com/
Not a bad concept if one recalls back yard gardens and fruit trees. This concept has been catching on and hopefully will promote more organic crops, local ‘Saturday’ style markets to buy vegetables, honey, breads etc as well as result in better health, less consumption of crap foods and an appreciation of the hard work of local merchants. This flies in the face of a time of global this and that, and the Nanny State’s aggregation of power and wealth. We may all be growing our gardens soon out of necessity. Hmm? Matt is encouraging you to be ahead of the curve.
Matt’s new blog is the same artful and comprehensive site as OFFB and his more personal UIO (http://mattstansberry.wordpress.com/. No, I don’t know how to do that link dealy yet) Credit must also be given to a local green minded gal named Leah Rosin. I don’t mean to give her short shrift…and in time we will all see the benefits of Matt & Leah’s focus on our behalf. Good luck to them on this new effort.
