Sans doute Jean Paul Assaigne du site est l’un des plus agréables pour étudier la mouche liant. Les images sont magnifiques et les tutoriels sont la perfection. Merci, Jean-Paul
Without a doubt Jean Paul Assaigne’s site is one of the most enjoyable to study about fly tying. The visuals are magnificent and the tutorials are perfection. Thank you, Jean Paul

There are some nice looking flies on Jean Paul Assaigne’s site. I was checking out the tutorial for this fly and those are nice pictures – but don’t read French (I know I should learn). What type of hair is being used for the “hackle” collar?

The dubbing is listed as rabbit and the hairs are rabbit guard hairs. The dubbing appears to be obvious hare’s mask but the spikey hairs are longer with the underfur and shorter hair pulled out…..

Hello,
I found your very nice web site today.
I use for the hair hackle the hare’s fur from the body not the mask. The furs from the body are longer and soft and easy to use.
