That’s much bigger then the golden trout I used to catch in the high Sierras in California (there is much less food at 13,000 ft) but that’s the same beautiful color. That’s the reason they made it California’s state fish. They taste just like rainbow trout but they’ve got that striking golden color.
Those are completely different golden trout. The one in that picture is hybrid after several breedings some including thos beautiful wild Holden’s in the sierras. Both are amazing fish, nice job!
