The Prince Nymph comes to mind as a recognizable fly pattern that utilizes white goose biots for a wing (and brown for the tail). The Prince Nymph is a truly productive fly pattern for trout, in both lakes and streams. The biot wing can be tied aside and slightly below the horizontal plane of the hook shank to give the impression of a Caddis pupa wing, swept back and below the abdomen. Don’t know why I opted for these low light looks, but just how they turned out.

To differentiate, and maybe I should have been more exact, my fly is not a Prince Nymph. Mine is a simple pupa pattern with biots pulled or tied in underneath. The Prince in the inserted link’s picture is probably a size 10-12. Most Prince Nymphs range from a size 10 to 14 and the occasional smaller ties.
