I have assumed this to be a small rainbow trout. The pic is blurry..sorry. The parr markings make me wonder if this is a steelhead smolt or a cutt or a bow. Also, that little blush of color on the chin. The stream is not stocked. It is within several hundred yards of the Columbia R. Any input re species?

A bit hard to tell, but I would say a Cutt. Most small streams in the Gorge house small populations of native Cutt’s. I hear of them being called Bonneville Cutts. Also Clark Cutts. Not sure about the Parr marks other than a maturity factor. Enjoy your site and the photographs (lol, excepting this shot). Keep up the good work.
