The nymph is a size 16 variation of a hairs ear nymph and a lightning bug nymph. I thought it would be fun to stack them onto a quarter and see how the macro lens worked. Someday I will get it right. In the meantime, you get the idea.

you got all but the very back in focus…not bad at all.
i use an old dental macro lens (manual everything) and just set it at f22 or f32.
but a quarter is bigger than you’d guess.
the other thing you can try is to shoot from a higher angle.
as i said nice shot.

Ah thanks. My dentist, an avid fly fisher uses a macro lens for his work. He also uses one of those ring lights around the lens. Again, thanks for advice.

Well, thank you. I never quite get the depth of field right. And, I say this when I see many other macro shots in focus front to rear. Partly settings, position and my eye sight. But, I appreciate that very much. I felt comfortable enough to post it.
