SwittersB & Fly Fishing: What in the world do these images have to do with anything related to the outdoors that SwittersB enjoys (fly fishing, fly tying, photography, travel, camping, nature, hiking…..)?
The pictures evoke a passage in life, a transition between life & deaths, dreams & realities, the past & the future, old age & youth, make believe & no imagination, broken health & vitality. That is what these family pictures bring out of my mind, my heart. What was and is lost or what can be right before me to celebrate.
That positive direction is always enhanced for me by wetting a line, planning a trip, celebrating family, seeing the beauty right in front of us, in the moment, not just the past.

Hit me, so impressive… Thank you dear Gary, it is something almost different among all your other photographs… I loved it. Love, nia

Thank you kind Nia. These images are from a darker side of our life, which I documented over at Hoarding Woes & You. My wife and family as a whole, spent over 5 years dealing with hoarding, cancer, alzheimer, hospice, passings and massive cleanups. All this has left us asking many questions and trying to sort out the why’s of life. The images are darker and not very happy…at least in my mind.
