Lush, sensual, bright and contrasting to the earth tones. The Hibiscus (in this instance Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) a pleasing flower. I wish there were more hardy varieties for the northern tier gardening. There are a very few, but none, I believe, like the red variety. Nectar loving birds feed from the Hibiscus, but hummingbirds less so.
