
A year around staple in nature…the midge, the buzzer, the chironomid, the gnat (a pupa here). An excellent pattern for trout in rivers and lakes. Pupa patterns are simple to tie, the sleeker the better. Generally fished vertically, either drifting or still fishing.


Ha-ha! I learned a delicious new word, “pupalicious”. Rolls right off the tongue in a delightful sort of way! When I saw that critter, I wondered how the heck you “tied” that guy! I think it’s downright sneaky the way you guys put the hairdos on those little wormy things to fool the fish! 😉
