Today, I had a most pleasant surprise that I am quite honored by. Carole Pivarnik contacted me to say she had used one of my photographs to inspire a watercolor rendition of the image. Further, she was donating the painting to the Project Healing Waters, 2-Fly Tournament and Fund Raiser happening this weekend at Rose River Farm in Syria, Virginia. Carole’s additional works serve to highlight companion animals.
Carole contacted me tonight to update me that the painting garnered several bids in the auction, the proceeds going to Project Healing Waters. Wonderful effort Carole. Those truly honored are the Veterans!
Oh, thank you so much for this mention (and thanks for the find comments, folks!)! That photograph grabbed me the instant I saw it and demanded to be painted! The work of PHW is so wonderful…I am thrilled to do my little bit to support them, with the help of your lovely photo.
