My uncle, had this shower door installed in the 1950’s in their home. I never really got to know him before he passed away. I have one recollection, when I was about 10 years old, of him giving me a fly rod. In hind site, it was a generous offering to a young boy. Some how, I never saw this shower door in the day. I imagine, in later years, we could have had some interesting conversations.

So interesting isn’t it when we reach an age and are able to imagine our parents and older relatives as sexy …. still a bit uncomfortable though! Thank you for the smile ….. 🙂

It is in deed. when I had the opportunity just a few years ago to bring up the shower door with my still living Aunt, I never broached the subject. She revered her husband so much that I think it would have been an interesting subject. The deal was the hoarding house was so full, she would not have taken kindly to my going downstairs (this was a downstairs bathroom, not the main floor bath) to prowl about. We had assigned seating and little freedom to move about for sometime. Long story, I wrote about at length over at Hoarding Woes & You several years ago.

One of the fascinating aspects for sure. Given the times and their closeness, it is unique for sure. She wasn’t submissive and he wasn’t overly obnoxious I was told. Yes, I would be hard pressed to get that one past the ‘boss’.
