be forewarned beagles are more intelligent than most folks and certainly more clever than you can comprehend.
they are absolutely food-driven. diet, diet, diet!
ours could circumvent baby locks on cupboard doors and gate locks outside.
she would push kitchen chairs around to access birthday cakes “secured” on top of the fridge. dinner was never left waiting on the table or it was but an olfactory memory.
she loved soda in the can…the kids would leave it lay about and she’d slurp it down (after she tipped it onto the floor). if the top hadn’t been popped she’d chomp the sides and guzzle high-velocity fizz.
did I mention Crayola crayons (not the affordable ones)…yes Technicolor poop. oh yes, Crisco…mmmm!
