I recently had yucca fries at a Caribbean restaurant but I would never have guesses they are a part of the desert vegetation. 🙂
Yes, it is close to the limb. They are quite common in the Mojave Desert region near Joshua Tree NP. Actually, there’s a town named Yucca Valley on Hwy. 62 in California.
