A great many now over winter in Oregon near Portland…as the weather moderates some now move to Southern BC….at least that’s what I read 🙂 I never see a pair…just one bright white bird here and there in the wetlands on Sauvie Island outside of Portland

We have one Great Egret here in northeast Seattle, too. Don’t know why, though! They are supposed to overwinter in the southern USA!
