My aunt was living in Longview, Washington when Mt. St. Helens erupted. She sent a jar of ash to my mother in Arizona. My aunt told us what a mess Longview was at that time, being covered by many inches of ash. I was on Mt. St. Helens when I was a kid, before the eruption, such a beautiful place, so sad to see this happen.
