This old backyard beauty rarely blooms. I really need to give it more attention.

What kind is that? It’s an unusual color combo

I have no idea…of my 32 roses, most were my parents or my aunt….I transplanted them not knowing the names and they (parents/aunt) had passed on. I have purchased 6 or so that I do know the names. A friend over on FB told me it is called Double Delight. It is an older rose, I do know that.

It looks older. Which is strange that a person can just tell. Just looks more classic I guess. 32 roses!?!? You must be good at keeping em alive! I only have four and two to three are really struggling. My fault, but oh well.

I have struggled this year, in what has been a pretty mild Summer. Haven’t lost any, but more brown spot etc. Some are quite old and seem to just keep going despite my neglect.

They are so tough. That’s why I love em. They’re like a growing metaphor. Mine keep coming back even though all of the leaves fall off. I put my hair around them to try and keep the bugs off. This has been a weird summer, I def agree.
