“The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time.” Friedrich Nietzsche
I was up early this morning. The street lights still on, a faint hint of light to the East. Hmm? I thought. I am going to take photos at first light of that new batch of roses out in the garden. No harsh high noon light. The time arrived. The street lights were off and the new day was creeping forward from the horizon. I took the best photos. I was so pleased.
Then it dawned upon me. Had I put the card back in the camera. I checked. Hell no! I mumbled self abusive phrases as I entered the house to grab the card. This is not the first time I have done this. I put the card into the camera and ventured off for a second time into the garden. The light brighter, the chill still in the air, the neighborhood quiet save a crow in the distance. For a second time, I moved from rose to rose and enjoyed the second pass through the garden.
