We are rapidly entering the age of no privacy, where everyone is open to surveillance at all times; where there are no secrets from government. William O. Douglas (1966)
“All human beings have three lives: public, private, and secret.” Gabriel García Márquez

Not to put too fine a point on it but I think we’ve been in that age for over 50 years, the difference being that we are just now starting to become aware of the possibility. So what to do then? You have to be self-sufficient in every area to live off the grid and, unless your parents saw the writing on the wall, you’re already a “known entity”. I say hide in plain sight, maintain a deliberate, educated foresight and, as it says in your side bar, Live Free Or Die…oh yeah, and never start a war unless you have the resolve and the ammo to take them all out.

The problem is not that Government knows all our secrets but that we don’t know all the Government’s secrets. Wouldn’t it be easier if we all just ditched the secrets? 😉

I love your photos! I’m not a photographer, but I would imagine that these were hard to take. True?

You know Carol, sometimes they are just there and I snap on an impulse here and there and they turn out well. Other times I plan, I stage and they are disappointing. It is fun. I have no pressures. Once I was, many years ago, to do someone’s wedding! Now that was pressure. That was in the pre-digital days too. Never again! I have fun with it all and just enjoy finding those special places that feel right to me.
